Kim Kardashian Attending Met Gala 2014 With Kanye West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s social calendar for the month of May is filling up faster than we can keep track! The fabulous couple may be set to tie the knot in Paris on May 24, but before we get a glimpse of Kim in her wedding gown, we’ll get to see her get glam for yet another fabulous affair — at the Met Gala in NYC on May 5! At the 2013 fundraiser a very pregnant Kimye stole the spotlight on the red carpet — and we’re so excited that HollywoodLife.com can exclusively confirm that they’re attending this year, (although considering that the engaged couple found themselves on the cover of the April 2014 issue of Vogue, we must admit that we aren’t surprised at all that they’re planning on attending).
Kim Kardashian Met Gala 2014 Attending Met Ball With Kanye West:
“Kim and Kanye are going to the Met Gala next week,” a source revealed. Although Kim and Kanye are very busy prepping for their Parisian wedding, they’ll still make an appearance at the Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5 to celebrate the opening of the Charles James: Beyond Fashion exhibit and the new Anna Wintour Costume Center — but will Kim be the only member of the Kardashian/Jenner family in attendance? “I’m not sure if Kendall [Jenner] is attending,” our source admitted.
Kendall Jenner Attending Met Gala 2014?
Considering that Kendall has also gotten the Vogue stamp of approval, appearing in a shoot for the magazine’s website and sitting pretty next to the magazine’s editrix, Anna Wintour, at the front row of the Topshop show during London Fashion Week, we wouldn’t be surprised if the model made an appearance at the fashionable affair. After all, she was the new darling on the runway for a slew of designers as she made the rounds during Fashion Week — including Marc Jacobs!
Although we can’t confirm what designer Kim will be wearing at the glam gala, our best guess is that she’ll turn up in either Lanvin or Givenchy. Riccardo Tisci, a bestie of Kimye, outfitted a pregnant Kim in her floral Givenchy gown for the 2013 Gala, however, she has also cozied up to Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz, visiting him in the Lanvin showroom in Paris and suiting up in one of the fashion house’s wedding gowns for her Vogue cover — I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

Selena Gomez’s Sunglasses At Coachella: Get The Look For

Selena Gomez rocked the boho-chic look while attending the Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, CA on April 11. The gorgeous 21-year-old danced the day away with a slew of her famous besties by her side, while donning a chic pair of sunnies the entire time!
The starlet opted to go for a head-to-toe boho look for her fun Coachella weekend. Selena rocked a white floral crochet Free People maxi dress over a crisscrossed black crop top and white jean shorts. Sels piled on the accessories, which included a thin layered necklace with a hanging turquoise stone and a wide-brimmed hat. She topped off her look her beloved bindi, a pair of black combat boots, and, of course, her super-stylish shades!
I am totally loving Selena’s ability to wear completely affordable looks — especially cause she makes them seem like they’re a million bucks! The talented starlet donned a pair of Minkpink Reality Bites Tortoise Shell sunglasses which have a total vintage feel, making them the perfect addition to any outfit– and they are only $62!
Are you loving Selena’s vintage-inspired sunnies as much as we are? Remember, the shades look amazing with just about anything — not just a boho chic get-up! Pair them with a trendy pastel pink frock, or sophisticated pleated trousers and crop top for an instantly finished look.

Looks on Campus: Kyleah – Loyola University New Orleans

Androgynous style seems to be the uniform for many around Loyola’s campus. It must be the colorful, fashionable history of New Orleans that influences this dapper style.
Kyleah is a fellow history major who’s also in my Medieval Women class. One day, Kyleah waltzed into class in a very smart outfit that stood out from the sea of t-shirt-and-jean pairings. She combined casual shorts with a dressy vest and tie to create a sporty yet stylish outfit, which you can check out below:
Kyleah 101
Student fashion trends at loyola university new orleans
Name: Kyleah
School: Loyola University New Orleans
Year: Senior
Major: History and Religious Studies
Let’s Talk Fashion
Who or what inspires your style? “I really like the dapper queer aesthetic. Sites like Queer Fashion and Dapper Q give a lot of inspiration.”
Where do you like to shop? “Thrift stores and consignment shops. I usually go to Gap, Banana Republic or H&M.”
How would you describe your sense of style? “I usually dress more simple [and] practical. Like I mentioned earlier, I really like the dapper aesthetic.”
Why did you choose this particular outfit? “It’s really beautiful and sunny outside, but I wanted to dress up a little bit, so this was a really good compromise.”
What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “Go with what you like. If you want basic advice, trade out school tops for [a] navy blue t-shirt. Trade your ratty jeans for chinos. Oh, and button-ups – you can be casual and dressy in a button-up!”
What do you do for fun do you have any unique hobbies or interests? “I play soccer, a lot of instruments, and I do a lot of activism in the city.”
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be? “Ellen DeGeneres and Pharrell Williams.”
Elements of Kyleah’s Outfit
1. Button-Down, Vest, and Tie
Menswear inspired fashion at loyola university new orleans
Kyleah’s button-down is a crisp and classic piece every student should own, and her vest adds to the menswear style that she loves. Kyleah’s vest dresses up her outfit, but is still casual enough to wear to class. Personally, I wear a black waistcoat with skinny pants and loafers to create a chic and comfortable outfit. You can also pair a luxe fitted vest with a skirt for a mix of masculine and feminine. I love that Kyleah finished her look with a tie – it’s a great layered look that really works on her.
2. Two-Tone Oxfords
College shoe trend oxfords
Oxfords have a classic yet dapper vibe, and they’re very on-trend this season. These shoes are comfortable and can be dressed up or down, which makes them an excellent addition to any wardrobe. Pair oxfords with a dress for a playful look or with a button-down and tailored shorts for a menswear-inspired ensemble. Kyleah’s two-toned pair is so adorable, plus the neutral color means they can be mixed-and-matched with a variety of outfits.
3. Brown Belt
Loyola university new orleans street style
You can never go wrong with a brown leather belt. While the concept sounds basic, Kyleah’s belt is far from boring! The gold buckle and bold stitching really make it stand out, plus it’s ultra-versatile. Try wearing a brown belt wrapped around the waist of your favorite dress, cinch it around a sweater, or grab it to add a little something extra to your skinny jeans.

Kim Kardashian’s 3 Paris Looks: Flaunting Huge Cleavage & More

When in Paris, Kim Kardashian really steps up her style game. April 13 and 14 were no different, as Kim showed off every facet of her personal style in three different looks during a busy day in the French metropolis.
Kim Kardashian Flaunts Cleavage In Paris
Kimmy first turned heads while heading into Ferdi restaurant for a dinner with fiance Kanye West on April 13. Kim’s look was mostly dressed down, with two seriously eye-popping elements that took it to another level. First, the reality star’s plunging shirt under her black blazer showed off an incredible amount of cleavage, making Kim look wildly sexy but also sophisticated.
But Kim also made sure to keep eyes unglued from her chest by rocking some of the coolest heels we’ve ever seen. For the dinner, the bride to be strapped on some extravagant jeweled heels — this might be the most bling she’s ever worn!
Kim Kardashian’s Head-To-Toe Dresses

Taking a cue from those ornate shoes, Kim’s outfits the next day were just as high class. Out shopping with Kanye during the day, Kim wore a form-fitting, neck-to-toe navy gown with intricate white design embellishments. The white stitch work was impeccable, and definitely gave the dress a regal, classically French feel to the dress.
Later in the day, Kim headed to catch a plane in a dress that was even more high fashion — a black velvet, head-to-toe dress with monochromatic designs. The dress was new age but also an edgy take on Victorian style. The real star of the dress though was the ornate golden belt Kim had on, which gave the black dress some much-needed pop. In this gown, Kim looked like a queen from some unknown futuristic land we want to move to right now!
But tell us, HollywoodLifers. Which of these three looks is your favorite? Weigh in below!

This Is the Bag AlunaGeorge Frontwoman Aluna Francis Is Carrying to Coachella

This Is the Bag AlunaGeorge Frontwoman Aluna Francis Is Carrying to Coachella
Fanny packs and backpacks might be the name of the bag game when it comes to carrying all the goods at Coachella -- but for Aluna Francis, one half of Brit electronic duo AlunaGeorge, her go-to bag is a modern tote from English designer Stella McCartney.

"I fell in love with this Stella bag as soon as I saw it -- it's not your average handbag shape but it's simple, fun and bright," the performer tells Pret-a-Reporter. "And [it] can fit all your festival essentials -- water, sunnies, suntan lotion, Frisbee and etc. -- without looking bulky. I'm a sucker for monochrome, too, so this will go with my whole wardrobe. Even if I went out in shorts and a tee, I'd look good wearing this bag!"
Francis, who performed at Rebecca Minkoff's fall 2014 runway show and the BRIT Awards in February, is set to take the stage once more at the three-day music fest in Indio with musical partner George Reid.

What to Wear to the Gym

I had planned to write up a post on cute gym clothes next month, but since this is my most requested article ever, I couldn’t wait to show you! Usually I photograph three outfits per article, but since this is a special thank you for so many requests, I decided to unload my entire athletic drawer to show you guys what I wear to the gym.
That’s a question that seems to come up a lot, so I thought I’d explain why I choose to do so:
It’s motivating. If I buy cute athletic clothes, I’m going to the gym so I can wear them. If I feel like I look good, even when I’m dying doing triceps dippers, it helps. Fake confidence until you have it. If I’m dressed like a yoga teacher, I feel more confident. It’s as simple as that.
But what is most important is to wear what you’re comfortable in and what you enjoy wearing, whether you’re in the gym or outside of it. If people don’t like it, ignore them. Again, it’s as simple as that.
Now, let’s get to the looks. Scroll down to see them all!
1. The Basics
If there was one outfit I would suggest you buy, it’s the basics. Virtually all classes at the gym can be conquered in capris, a long tank top, and a jacket for coming and going. I love jackets with thumb-holes. They makes me feel like a superhero.
These Nike capris are from a factory store sale. I highly, highly suggest going to factory outlets instead of big sporting goods stores, because you can save mucha moolah (always check the clearance section!). The wide, Nike Pro waistband is the world’s comfiest waistband outside of the land of pajamas.
2. More Modest (Good for Weight Lifting)
CF reader Avery requested an outfit that was on the less revealing side because her TAs and professors work out at her gym (awkward). A great way to stay a little more modest is to wear a shirt with small sleeves instead of a low cut tank. I wore running shorts because they’re not super tight, but feel free to wear capris instead.
The ruching around the bust of this teal top is flattering if you’re on the small-chested side like myself (let’s be real, sports bras don’t help in that department), and is visually more interesting than a regular, plain t-shirt. The top is made from a sweat-wicking material, and allows the skin to breathe. Ah, breathe skin! Take in oxygen, little baby pores!
This outfit would be ideal for pumping iron.
You may be thinking: “Do you even lift?” And to that I say, “Why yes, in small amounts. I also carry all the grocery bags in one trip.”
3. Mix and Match Colors (Cardio)
Colors never have to match. Period. Mixing and matching is awesome, especially at the gym. Both of these shirts are from TJ Maxx, and the salmon (“Tart Deco” colored shorts for all you Essie polish lovers) are from a Nike factory outlet.
These shorts also have built-in black bike shorts, so no matter if you’re doing pliĆ© squats, cycling, or some crazy yoga move, you’ll be covered. Literally.
I wore both of these outfits to cycling class recently. Nothing embarrassing happened, which makes these outfits a win in my book.
4. Florals & Corals (Yoga & Pilates)
Who says you can’t dress girly at the gym? I wanted to include a long-sleeved shirt for the few, the dedicated, the early-risers who get up before the sun when it’s still chilly. (That’s not me, in case you’re wondering.)
I love capris year-round. During the Deep South Snow Freak-Out of 2014, I wore capris under jeans, sweat pants, and yoga pants, so I could just whip off my pants when I got the gym. That’s how lazy I am.
5. Try Something New
Sometimes, college girls, myself included, forget that there are shorts besides running shorts. Mixing it up with fresh details and funky patterns is a great way to spice things up.
I love these shorts with the side bows and side gathering, but since they are on the short side, adding a pair of tight, compression shorts underneath can give you peace of mind when you’re rocking that Warrior 2 position.
Patterned leggings make me feel like I could pass for a yoga teacher. But only outside of class, because once you see me doing any form of exercise you’ll see how wobbly and uncoordinated I am.
Gym shoes are arguably the most important part of these ensembles. If you’re going to splurge on one gym-related thing, I’d suggest shoes. Why? Well, if you’re like me, and your feet are so arched they’re practically McDonald’s Golden Arches, working out in poor-fitting shoes can be painful.
These Mizuno Wave Rider shoes are built for those us with arches reaching to the sky, and are excellent running shoes. These have lasted me for years.
These pink and teal Nikes, from Rack Room Shoes, feature a comfortable “Fit Sole.” I wanted a tennis shoe that was tighter and smaller than my Mizunos, which can sort of slide during burpees (my arch nemesis) and other training-type exercises.

Shailene Woodley Wows In White

Shailene Woodley pulled out all the stops last night at the Divergent film premiere in Berlin as she wowed on the red carpet in a plunging Zuhair Murad gown. The incredible dress featured metallic gold embellishment running down each side and a ¾ length sleeve – we love!
The 22-year-old actress is nailing red-carpet glamour on her current press tour, having already chosen British-based designers including Stella McCartney and Roksanda Ilincic to showcase her sartorial savvy. And it seems Shailene is leading a new trend for white gowns, along with Emma Watson, who ditched the LBD in favour of a pristine white Calvin Klein gown for the Noah premiere in London.
Our eye is firmly on Shailene’s next fashion move – do we have an icon in the making?
