Lupita Nyong’o’s CFDA Awards Jumpsuit: Lovely Or Too Loud?

Lupita Nyong’o 31, appeared on the red carpet on June 2 in New York City, wearing a Suno jumpsuit, Sophia Webster shoes and Jennifer Fisher earrings as she arrived at the 2014 CFDA Awards at Lincoln Center. Lupita’s outfit was definitely a DARING one and full of vibrant colors, however, was it totally fierce or a fashion flop? What did you think of Lupita’s red carpet look?

Lupita definitely wore a VIBRANT ensemble on the red carpet for the award show, where the star was on hand to serve as a presenter for the occasion.
She rocked an abundance of colors, (from her blue eye shadow to bright red pumps), but was it a little too much?
I think Lupita definitely could have toned the outfit down a bit — especially because it was such a formal affair! That being said, I most admit that I loved the blue-eye shadow — it definitely made her eyes pop!
I’m not sure if it was her red pumps or the silhouette that seemed so distracting — maybe it was the combination. There was a lot going on with this look and the outfit was a bit busy in my book.

Overall, this definitely was a bold look on the red carpet. While Lupita looks absolutely beautiful, the outfit is just not our favorite. The pattern itself is a bit too busy.
Even if you don’t love the look you have to applaud Lupita for taking risks on the red carpet. She is not afraid to dress out of the box and does not like to play it safe — and we love how she keeps it interesting with her fashion choices!
