Kate Middleton preps for the Tokyo Olympics (but is she heading to NYC first?)

As promised, we are delivering you the latest in Kate Middleton news, as the Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance this afternoon visiting the SportsAid athlete workshop at the GSK Human Performance Lab in Brentford, West London. As Kate is a true sportswoman herself—we’ve seen her play volleyball, Ok?—it’s no surprise that the Duchess is a huge advocate for British athletes, as she joined the organization back in April 2013. Meeting with over 30 potential 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games athletes, the Duchess showed us that pregnancy (albeit the morning sickness) suits her well.

While visiting the workshop, the Duchess looked (a lot) less than sporty as she opted for a fit-and-flare shirt dress by British designer Goat. She completed the ensemble with a pair of opaque tights, Russell & Bromley black suede boots and a matching clutch. Keeping her look minimal, she wore her hair down and matched her blue sapphire engagement ring with similar earrings.
As Kate has been on the mend after battling hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe case of acute morning sickness, her appearances have been rather restricted. However, rumour has it she will be set to join Prince William in New York in the upcoming month to unveil their new charity, United for Wildlife. All we have to do is hold our breathe and wait for confirmation (which we will, of course, report back on).
