Met Gala 2014 Best Dressed: Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez & More

This year it was all about formal fashion at the 2014 Met Gala, as the celebs arrived to fete the opening of the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion,” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2014 Costume Institute Benefit in NYC on May 5. From full, intricate ball gowns to gloves and everything in between, the stars definitely dressed the part — and we’re having a hard time deciding who was best dressed!

From gorgeous gowns to exquisite accessories, the stars were transformed for the evening — in fact, this just might be the most fashionable night of the entire year! Along with the familiar faces on the red carpet, there was also a stunning set of newcomers, which included stunning songstress Selena Gomez, among others! The darling of awards season, Lupita Nyong’o, just so happens to be one of the faces of Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 campaign, and she was appropriately outfitted by Prada for the fashionable affair — it may be her first time at the grand gala, but we’re sure it won’t be her last! Wolf of Wall Street star Margot Robbie was also in attendance for the very first time — and she made a statement in DVF.
WWhile the newcomers looked lovely, we were just as excited to see a slew of stunning stars who have become a fixture at the fundraiser walk the red carpet — and that included Chanel’s latest face, Kristen Stewart, and Red songstress, Taylor Swift! KStew donned an intricate design by Chanel and she looked absolutely sensational, while Taylor looked like a modern day princess as she emerged on the steps at the event.
