Pamela Anderson explains her new look
Pamela Anderson surprised us all when she traded in her straggly platinum blonde extensions for a gamine pixie crop, and cleavage-bearing tops for chic midi dresses last October - and now she's explained why she underwent the style shift.
"I just kind of became that thing," she tells the latest issue of Elle US, describing how she got sucked into the rock star scene. "The hair, that rock-star kind of lifestyle, just living a dream. It kind of took over. It started out very innocent and then I turned into a cartoon character. And I started to feel like a cartoon character."
So, she went for the chop and decided to scrap the micro-mini skirts, but not without a little trepidation.
"At first I thought I looked like Anderson Cooper or like a Q-tip or something," she says referencing the US TV host. "But now I feel really powerful. I have a friend who is an awesome, studly man, and he goes, 'You know, some women cut their hair and it makes them look even more masculine, but you look even more feminine.'"
Oddly, she also thought the short style would affect her sex life, but you'll be pleased to know she "got into the mode." TMI Pammy, TMI.
